Turning New Leaves,
"Not agreement capable" was the Russian assessment of American diplomats during the Obama years, and subsequently, because the Presidents did not have administrative control over the bureaucracies the military or the clandestine and intelligence agencies.
That projection continued through the November elections, that it would not matter which candidate took office, but it is in transition now, as the Trump administration is making rapid battlefield progress against the ensconced bureaucracies, and has put heads of service into the FBI, CIA, Pentagon and DNI, who are personally loyal to President Trump, and are moving to purge functionaries loyal to the prior regime from those agencies, while openly reforming them. There is a culture of fear being imposed in all of the agencies through job cuts, and many have chosen a cushioned-resignation which was offered.
The DOGE Forensic Accounting Audit software is tearing up the payroll system of the deep-state, a shot to the heart. This is establishing the possibility that Team Trump will be agreement-capable, which waters are now being tested diplomatically.
We will be able to observe the re-staffing of the Russian Embassy in Washington, the restitution of Russian diplomatic property and banking in the US, and the public statements of the Trump Administration, denouncing warlike interests, arrayed against Russia. These build the potential for a working relationship by establishing a sense of fairness and breaking ties with Russia's enemies in Ukraine, London and the European countries invested in war against Russia. Davos/WEF old-money has placed its bets...
The establishment of a preliminary working relationship, which this enables, will allow Russia and the US to proceed with mutually beneficial coordination, which does not involve extended risks of betrayal. A lot can be done within that basic realm of cooperation.
If the US actually removes American troops from former Warsaw Pact countries it would burn the bridge between the US and the WEF faction of NATO, a serious commitment to divorce those globalist financial interests. That would begin to build the next layer of trust. If the US destroys it's alliance with anti-Russian interests, then Russia may tentatively take some trusting risks to benefit the newly reformed imperial court, and fortify it against their common globalist enemies...
The next step of restoring trust, a deeper trust, a potential alliance, which would benefit both countries, would be to restore Nordstream, and to restore it to Russia and to German industrial interests. The traditional British strategy was to keep Russia and Germany at war with each other, to lend to both from London, rather than allow them to unite against London.
London, in this model, represents global finance, which profits from war lending, and debt-enslavement of nations. Rumors are that London investment is all-in for war.
Gilbert Doctorow gets into the rapid diplomatic advances between Russia and the US: Transcript of ‘Judging Freedom’ 20 February edition
The Kremlin is very satisfied with the positive results of the meeting in Riyadh. They’re very pleased, of course, with all of the further development, the further evolution of what Trump is saying publicly. I think it’s fair to imagine that Trump’s positions haven’t changed. The only thing that has changed is the timing when he comes out with the next layer of revelation of where we really are... So many things have happened in the last six days, which if you look at them, are all directly interrelated and consequences were known in advance. I’ll give you two examples. This whole question about the mineral resources in Ukraine to be used as a security for America to recover its investment in this war. It was obvious that the terms that they gave to Zelensky would result in his rejecting them. And yet further American assistance was made contingent on his accepting them. Clear what they were going after. Similarly, the whole question of the questionnaire, The issue of a questionnaire that was sent out to the European Union member states over the weekend, in which they were required to say what military units and what equipment they would have available to enforce a peace treaty and to provide security to Ukraine after the signing of peace.
And what happened in the meeting on Monday was, and I think the Trump expected this, no show. They have nothing. They couldn’t reach agreement... Therefore, the questionnaire was intended to pose “put up or shut up”, and Trump knew in advance it would be “shut up”.
So these are not accidental or arbitrary moves. They were all coordinated to get the European Union offside, because it was evident that they are the war camp... And what happened in the meeting on Monday was, and I think the Trump expected this, no show. They have nothing. They couldn’t reach agreement... Therefore, the questionnaire was intended to pose “put up or shut up”, and Trump knew in advance it would be “shut up”.
..In these circumstances, the United States can proceed directly with Russia...
..I think the most important thing that we have witnessed in the Riyadh meeting and what followed immediately after that is the Russian satisfaction that Trump is acting in good faith and that there is a negotiating partner here. Because remember the words that were used about the Russians speaking of the Americans in the last months, if not a couple of years, that America is not capable of reaching agreements. Remember the importance placed by Lavrov and others on trust and the whole– just note that the project of discussions has been put into three baskets. The first and most immediate one is to repair the almost destroyed institutions for diplomatic exchange. The Russian embassy in Washington is non-functional. It doesn’t have an ambassador. It doesn’t have workable bank accounts..
..So if they had the staff in place to work on the thorny, very difficult questions that are in basket two, which includes solving the war in Ukraine, but also includes less difficult or less unpleasant issues like cooperation in space or joint work in the Arctic and the Arctic naval passages north of Siberia.
These types of subjects, which require a lot of expertise and constant support, the very idea that they exist as part of the overall reconciliation would give Moscow hope. Because all of these things, whether it’s restoring one or another type of the arms control agreements that were, that were canceled and should be restored, they all have to do with a constant interchange, a constant flow of people back and forth, which are, aside from the subject matter, the procedural side of this has its own relevance because all of it inspires confidence and trust...
..Russia is a big supplier of essential materials of all kinds, whether it’s hydrocarbons or metals or grains. Anyway, the Europeans were big consumers for good reasons. It wasn’t out of kindness. It was out of advantage. The United States never had that complementarity... These types of subjects, which require a lot of expertise and constant support, the very idea that they exist as part of the overall reconciliation would give Moscow hope. Because all of these things, whether it’s restoring one or another type of the arms control agreements that were, that were canceled and should be restored, they all have to do with a constant interchange, a constant flow of people back and forth, which are, aside from the subject matter, the procedural side of this has its own relevance because all of it inspires confidence and trust...
..It’s hard to imagine that Zelensky has a shelf life of more than a few weeks. That doesn’t mean the Ukraine has a shelf life of [no] more than a few weeks.
Remember, there is vast amount of armament that was sent out by Biden in the months, weeks and even days before he left office. So the notion that the Ukrainians have no arms is wrong. They do. They can last for a while. How many months no one can say...
..Here is a critical point to mention: that it is not the alignment of what Trump or Vance may be saying with what the Russians have been saying. It’s the alignment of what the Americans are now saying with the truth. And whether the Russians like it or don’t like it, whether they’re laughing, rejoicing, opening bottles of champagne, is irrelevant. It is to the advantage of us all, including those in power, to be speaking the truth and making their strategic plans based on reality, not on ideology... Remember, there is vast amount of armament that was sent out by Biden in the months, weeks and even days before he left office. So the notion that the Ukrainians have no arms is wrong. They do. They can last for a while. How many months no one can say...
..They see the other side of Gorbachev that we in the West, America think of, that is Gorbachev the peacemaker, the man who put an end to the Cold War division of Europe. And I think that’s how they’re looking at Trump today, hopefully, but without this euphoria, to be sure. https://gilbertdoctorow.com/2025/02/21/transcript-of-judging-freedom-20-february-edition/
The Establishment reacts to Trump's diplomacy... Lavrov Praises Trump for Saying NATO Led To Ukraine Invasion
Trump had written previously on Truth Social, "Biden never tried [to end the war], Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the ‘gravy train’ going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues…" He has also addressed Ukraine, saying "You should have never started it."
But there's been plenty of dissent this side of the Atlantic. For example, Trump's own former vice president Mike Pence had this to say: "Mr. President, Ukraine did not ‘start’ this war," he wrote online. "Russia launched an unprovoked and brutal invasion claiming hundreds of thousands of lives. The Road to Peace must be built on the Truth." https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/lavrov-praises-trump-saying-nato-led-ukraine-invasion

BILD, amongst others, is now reporting that Trump intends to withdraw US troops from all post-1990 NATO countries:
Discussions about the withdrawal of US troops from all NATO states that joined the alliance after 1990 are one of the goals of the talks between Russia and the US, an Eastern European security official tells BILD

Sources in Romania's government revealed the request, which was rejected by the team led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. But NATO countries along the alliance's so-called Eastern flank are still worried: "Cristian Diaconescu, the Romanian president’s chief of staff and adviser for defense and national security, said on Wednesday that the US delegation had rejected Moscow’s demand, but that there were no guarantees that Washington would not eventually make this concession to Vladimir Putin," FT reports. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/moscow-demanded-us-nato-withdraw-forces-eastern-europe-riyadh-talks
Kosovo is reputedly a NATO/deep-state/Mafia crime and rendition hub, similar to Ukraine. Potential US troop withdrawal from Europe to leave Kosovo exposed
Reports from European security officials suggest that the United States may consider withdrawing its troops from Europe, including its presence in Kosovo, if US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine. Germany’s Bild reported on February 19 that such a deal could lead to significant shifts in the security landscape of the region.

“I was sobbing, asking them, ‘Why do you want me to leave my house?’ My baby is upstairs, just let me get my baby please,’” Ayat Abdullah, 30, recalled from a shelter for displaced people in the village of Kafr Al-Labd. “They gave us seven minutes. I brought my children, thank God. Nothing else.”
Told to make their own way, Abdullah trudged 10 kilometers (six miles) on a path lighted only by the glow from her phone as rain turned the ground to mud. She said she clutched her children tight, braving possible snipers that had killed a 23-year-old pregnant woman just hours earlier on Feb. 9.
Her 5-year-old son, Nidal, interrupted her story, pursing his lips together to make a loud buzzing sound.
“You’re right, my love,” she replied. “That’s the sound the drones made when we left home.” https://www.arabnews.com/node/2590869/middle-east

Sheinbaum’s message that her government is willing to cooperate with US authorities on security issues but will not accept direct US military intervention enjoys broad support across Mexico’s political spectrum. There are exceptions, of course, including some politicians in opposition parties and certain media figures who are calling for direct US intervention in Mexico, but they and their supporters represent a small minority.
The second ace up Mexico’s sleeve is, paradoxically, Donald Trump’s executive order designating Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organisations. The designation theoretically allows US authorities to impose penalties on entities and individuals that provide material support to cartels. That surely must include the US arms manufacturers and dealers who provide an estimated 70% of all the cartels’ weaponry as well as all the Wall Street, City of London and European banks that help the cartels to launder the proceeds from their businesses.[2]

If Sheinbaum plays her cards right, perhaps she can shift some of the focus onto these major facilitators of the global drugs trade. She has already announced plans to expand the lawsuit filed by Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs during AMLO’s presidency against US arms manufacturers and sellers, accusing them of knowingly selling weapons to Mexican cartels. https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2025/02/claudia-sheinbaum-launches-initiative-to-bolster-national-sovereignty-after-trump-officially-declares-cartels-as-terrorists.html

Dr. Kimberly Biss explores the impact of COVID-19 “vaccines” on pregnancy, fertility, and reproductive health
Post-marketing data, which should have been available in early 2021, revealed shocking numbers:
Out of 270 pregnant women in Pfizer’s trial, only 32 were followed up.
Of those, 26 suffered miscarriages— there was an 81% loss rate.
Despite these findings, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky publicly declared the “vaccine” safe and effective for pregnant women, contradicting the available data. https://www.globalresearch.ca/consequences-covid-19-vaccines-women-health/5880456
